Audi TT right for me?

I just test drove a 01 Audi TT with 82k miles. Its the 180 model coupe, 5spd. The dealer wants 15k even for it. Runs good, I have not checked the maintenance record, or the carfax, on it yet. Im posting this because I am a 18year old college student. I have a good paying job for my age and have no bills other then insurance which I have to start paying in June. Currently I have $900 left over a month for whatever. My family is checking insurance on it tomorrow and if its under 200/mo, I think i will buy the car. Maintance wise, we have a mechanic that does all of our work for a good price but I have also done repairs on my current car.

What do you guys think? stay away or buy it?

At 80K it needs to have had the timing belt done. Dealer will tell you otherwise.

Well, hate to say this but if you were my son, I would tell you to........

spend your 15k on a new or newer vehicle. At 82k miles the TT will be a drag on your wallet and/or time and do nothing but decrease in value. Sorry just my opinion. Unless you are very wealthy and don't care if you throw your money away on a toy.
