Is $400 to paint a bumper reasonable?
I brought my 3.2bumper to the body shop to have it repainted months ago.
Apparently, they accidentally put the bumper on someone else's car and try to stick me with a 1.8T bumper. The bumper several years ago only cost $400. Now they had to pay $1200 for all the parts.
Meanwhile, I sold my stock bumper so my car has been stuck in the garage for weeks. No biggie, I have a backup ride and I decided to do some work on it anyway.
I was under the impression that repainted a front bumper is no more than 2-3hours of labor and cost of prime, prep and paint.
Is this a average price for painting a brand new bumper?
