Default Defcon3 report...short

just a few days ago, i had my alignment done since i had the Defcon3 put in along with new ball joints. but besides that, i also put my VF Engineering motor mounts back in and also, some poly front swaybar bushings.

since doing all of that front end work at the same time, makes matter worse trying to evaluate what does what. i must say that there's a dramatic improvement...road feel is good, turning...more precise. i think i will eventually put in the MkII rear bushings to make it a Defcon2.

i do like the turning behavior of the car now...although on the highway at 85mph, slight movements make the car feel like its going off course. but when you point it, it goes...something that now feels like it was missing before.

a worthy mod...almost required for those that like to feel the road...with precision. anyone that likes the cushy feeling of the current steering should stay clear from this mod.

to mike and for all those involved, thx for making this a reality.

Default As long as you stick with rubber bushings...>

ie: Defcon 2 or above it shouldn't. The Poly's in DEFCON 1 may induce some. If you have road noise you may have a tire problem (quite common)

seems like it's reducing understeer. Have you experimented at higher speeds?

Default FWIW, I got some understeer with DEFCON 1 hitting some wet pavement last night.

I was actually pleased with that - better under than over in my opinion. That's been the first case of non-neutral handling I have had in a month.

Default not the kind of speeds that you experience...

haha. not really...although steering is more sensitive at speeds like 80mph...a little movement makes a bigger move than it did before.
