any tricks when removing the cluster?
But before I do, are there any tricks or pitfalls when doing this? The Bentley simply says to drop the steering wheel to it's lowest level for access, remove the 2 screws in the bottom and then reach up (with some special tool) to unhook it from it's attachment brackets at the top. Anything more to it? Should I disconnect the battery's Neg terminal or leave as is?
TIA, ~john
Just flop it forward, release the latches (3 plugs) and unplug. Spray with electronics cleaner and re-plug....Hopefully you'll get lucky! Use dielectric grease if you wanna do it right..:-)
