The Touareg flash light is not a good idea after all?
The flash light seems a bit loose in the socket which is not nice. Worst of all, it's possible to hit + and - simultaneously with the tip of the flashlight in my m.y. 2000 TT :-( Burned my fuse twice already.
Anybody else have this problem?

Better to install the Touareg's tow hitch and try this:

I have the same problem ....mine is a 2000 TT also .. it appears that...
the socket in some early TTs is different from the later ones ... the Touareg flaslight will work properly only in the latter ones ... also, the same has happened to a friend of mine with his 2000 TT and what he did was to install a 12V extra socket and then plugged the flashlight into it ....and had good results 
.
It took me a couple of fuses to see what was happening ... trust me and don?t plug the flashlight in your car anymore ...

installed in bothe a TT % a Seat Leon with GT28RS turbo kits .... rounding the 300+ bhp .... great product ! ... maybe some day I will change my TTDA with one of those
