BLOWN ENGINE.........looks like the TT is dead
ok...story time:
Last week from today, I was driving back to a friends house when the car started running on three cyclinders. Well this was nothing new since my harness was bad and every once in awhile this would happen, run on 3 cyclinders and then back to 4 in just minutes later. In the mean while, I had the harness on order but the place I ordered it from F*CKed up and sent it to the wrong place and its been close to a month before I ordered it! So this time, the car just remained on 3 cyclinders and it was a good thing I was near my friends house. Got there and just let the car sit for about an hour and then decided to turn it back to see what was up. Still on three cyclinders! So I checked the plugs and we also VAG-COMed the car to what was really going on. As we figured cyclinder 3. So we cleared the codes and just let the car sit for awhile and just hung out. Came back later but now the car was running on 1 cyclinder and this time there was a "clicking" sound! I said F*CK it and just decided to leave the car at his house until the time being. So I waited almost all week to get the car towed.
Finally, last night, I was able to get the car towed over to the shop and the mechanic knew exacty what was wrong. DEAD! We dont know exactly what went wrong but the engine is being taken apart and we shall find out exactly what went wrong by the end of the weekend or the beginning of next week.
Bacisly, I have two options. Either to buy a new block (AWP) or used one from somewhere, or fully rebuilding the engine. Lets just say if I decided to buy a new/used block Im probably going to take apart the car and sell it, and maybe buying another TTq or something else, IDK. But if I decided to build the engine Im going ALL OUT! Dont know exactly what Im going to do or get if I decide to take this path. We'll see!!!!!
What do you guys think?

I hope you get it back on the road soon and that it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
