Silicone Turbo Hoses

I've been trolling around extensively through the various TT groups from here to the UK etc trying to clear up something. If I do a stage one Revo remap should I be looking into the upgraded hoses also? There seems to be a thread that says the intake side will collapse under hard excelleration. Also there seems to be some who say that the newer TTs don't do this. Mine is a 2002 225, what is this group's thinking on this? Is this real, or do the hoses just look really cool?

You don't need the hose (problem on '00 and some early '01s). You can still do the hose, though
and it may provide a very minimal increase in flow, as well as (very) slightly more heat insulation to the incoming charge air.

could anyone verify the part# for the '01 intake hose with a tendency to collapse...
i have a mid '01 225 and I took these two part numbers of the intake hose.
one # was part of the mold of the hose and another number was printed on white ink.
these are the two part #'s on my intake hose
molded rubber: 06A 133 356 F
printed in white: 06A 145 892 AR
I wanted to know which Rev of the hose i have.
