Default Wheels/Transmission

I have an 01 TT quattro and when I bought it, the car had 3 different tread types and different tread sizes from new to bald. I just got new wheels and tires on the car and was told to do a transmission flush. Well a few days after that the car started to slip through 3000-5000 rpms and it felt like the car had esp running. Which the car doesnt have esp. Any ideas on whats wrong??? HELP

Default Sounds like an unrelated problem to me. Haldex (quattro) is sensitive to different rolling...

diameters, but your transmission shouldn't be affected.

Default Sounds like clutch slipping to me. Bad clutch possibly. But may be an issue with the tranny.

What fluid did they put in the transmission?

So do you have any idea what it could be it just acts like an esp or dsc is kicking in an then after I let off the gas it throws it back to 5000 rpms. But if im going slow it doesn't do it.

Does it happen more often in higher gears (4-6) than it does in 1-3?

Default I had the same problem at about 54,000 miles on my 2001 225 quattro. I thought it was the clutch at

first, when I was getting the clutch and flywheel replaced, it turned out that it was a leaky oil seal. My clutch was not even half worn, but b.c. oil was leaking onto the disc, it was causing it to slip if I pressed on the gas too hard.

Clutch slipping. Bad oil seal. Nothing that $1.5-$2.5K won't fix it.

So your saying that its probably a bad oil seal. Wouldn't that only be like $10? Or are you saying you think its the clutch. And what is the best way to know if its the oil seal?

I actually happens in all gears except for 1st. Although if I dont mash the pedal to the floor it will go just fine. But when I do it starts slipping at 3000 until redline unless I let off the gas.

Default It may be the oil seal on the shaft.. leaking oil onto the clutch. You have to R&R the trans to

replace the seal.
