For more specific information I would suggest you go to a competant independent shop that works on TT's in your area and get a price quote from them. Unless you know how to do it yourself, you are going to have to find a shop that can do it for you. There will be a substantial cost. German cars are not cheap to own. If it is any consolation, no modern vehicle is all that cheap to own and maintain. Last Spring I shelled out $1,200 for a water pump and timing belt for my wife's 1998 RAV 4 at an independent shop. Toyota dealer would have been about $350 more than that.
