Default So I'm about to get the check from my house sale...

And I need to spend a little money. Little being the opperative term. Like probably less than $400 or so. I need to put a KMAC kit in to square up my rear-end from the suspension I did (H&R coilovers, sways front/rear, motor-mounts). So that's like $200 gone already, what should I do with the other $200?

I was thinking a short-shift kit, but I prefer to do performance before convenience/aesthetic items. My second thought was either a VTDA or TTDA. Third thought was an oil cooler.

Any feedback from y'all peeps would be fantastic. I have so many things on the list that I want to do, I don't know where to start with this paltry little amount of money. Thanks everyone

Default If you went with the VF motor mounts then definitely get the short shift kit

The combination makes shifting enjoyable and that 2nd to 3rd grind a thing of the past.

Oil cooler is a good mod but should be down the list after intake, exhaust, FMIC, Evo Heatshield...

And definitely a chip if you don't have one yet. First priority no matter what.

Default No chip...

Not ready systematically yet. I want to have everything in before the chip; FMIC, oil cooler, gauges, etc. I know that's kind of backwards for most people here, but I want to bullet-proof my system as much as possible first. That, and I still haven't decided what chip or exhaust I want yet, so that's part of it too. I see one vote for the shift-kit, and one for the VTDA (not the TTDA...why?). Thanks you guys, I'm looking forward to more.

Default I'm running completely stock except for my chip - my reason for waiting was money

Since you've got the money I say go for it now. I don't see how adding those other items makes the setup anymore "bullet-proof" & I doubt you'll get a better bang for your buck then a chip. That's my 2cents.

Default Steve is smart...

I like Steve, he's always been great at communicating with me, so it wasn't a choice of "if" just "when". So the "when" will probably be now.

Default Waiting to get a VTDA until after you get a chip doesn't make sense

if you say you want to get an FMIC, etc before chipping. And a short shifter is more performance mod than convenience.
