Catastrophic engine failure this AM
Was driving to work today and as I'm pulling up to the stoplight at the end of the off-ramp from the highway I notice a police car in the right lane with it's lights on. As we get a little closer I see he's parked behind some AstroEuroStarMiniVan of some sorts and there's a puddle on the ground under the engine. At first it looked like it was just melting snow like he plowed through a snow bank or something because there were baseball sized chunks in the middle of the puddle. But as I get up alongside the Van I realize it's not just water and snow chunks.... it's oil and ENGINE chunks. I have never seen a failure like this and I wish I was able to get pictures but I doubt the cop or the Van owner would have appreciated it. There was a large puddle of oil and at least 5 chunks of metal varying in size from golf ball to baseball sized. Talk about your bad mornings.
