Default Lowering the car with sport suspension ...

sorry if this is a noobie question, but if I put in H&R Springs or Eibach springs with Bilstein absorbers, do I also have to install rear control arms to maintain wheel alignment? what i mean by wheel alignment is .. i dunno if u guys ever notice driving behind a BMW, the back wheels tend to look like they go inwards towards the top of the wheel ... would i have to get control arms to prevent this from happening?

thank you ...btw car is 02' 225QC

Default that's called camber>

and you need what's called a KMAC if you do anything over an inch or so, cause the back wheels cannot adjust much for camber...

STFA for KMAC (STFA means seach the forum articles)

and search howstuffworks.com for camber.

if i order just the shocks/spring kit (Bilstein/HR) say from awe-tuning.com, will i need the kmac kit from ttstuff.com?? i don't know how much of a drop it will be from stock suspension to the sport, and i don't plan on dropping it very low, just the standard settings on the new shocks etc ... thank you

Default Springs determine your drop and the amount of drop is not adjustable

Unless you go with coil-overs. You may be able to get away with a half-KMAC kit but I would recommend the full KMAC for the Bilstein/H&R combo.

Default Drops with the springs mentioned..>>

Figure about an inch on Eibachs, and 1.5 on H&R's. At 1.5 you may need more radical correction as often a 1/2 Kmac kit (that seems fine at 1") will not be enough at 1.5 and you will have to install a full set. (or camber arms). Read the link below to see what happens at various levels of drop pn the TT...

Camber change

thank you very much, since u suggested full KMAC kit, should I just put in the extra 200 bucks n get the either FORGE adjustable Rear Tie Bars from ttustuff or CPP rear adjustable control arms from awe-tuning?? what are the advantages of these over full KMAC??

Default Advantages/Disadvantages..>>

Kmacs allow easier toe adjustment. Adjustable arms allow None. There is some factory toe adjustment available at the trailing arm pivot, but at large drops it occasionally is not enough and the car cannot be brought into spec.

Default If you want the CPP arms, you'd better hurry.

Once the current stock depletes, there will be no more. CPP has been dissolved.

I got the last pair from Griffin Motorwerkes.

So overall your saying KMACs are better? Or KMACS and the ADJ ARMS?
