Water Pump question
Do most people receive refurbished water pumps (with timing belt kits or when buying a pump by itself)? I am trying to buy a new 06A 121 012 OEM water pump; and bought what was described as 'quality OEM replacement unit' with this part number from purems.com. I received a filthy, very dodgy looking, non OEM HEPU pump that most certainly looks refurb with 'tested' sticker on the back. The condition should have been clearly described on their site. Instead, there is no word whether new/used; and now when I look at other online shops I do notice that their pumps look reconditioned too.
I don't care too much obout OEM or Graf or HEPU as long as impeller is metal; but I certainly not going to put a used part in. Thank you for any replies.
