Making some adjustments to my Greddy DV, turns to harder seems to get.....

rid of my low boost flutter, still have some honking in 5th gear under high boost. I'm about 4 turns toward hard now without the large inner spring. My question is: changes to the DV, does it take some time to adapt or will I notice changes instantly?

The changes should be noticeable fairly quickly Bob.>>>

no real long term adaptation required...

I finally gave up trying to get the damn thing right ....

sold it and got a Forge RS. Setting the Forge is simple as the amount of boost it holds is relative the amount of turns of the dial. No honking, no real fluttering and well holds boost all day long unlike my Greddy.

Thanks Joe, I remember reading one of your posts about that........

I think you said you even put the other spring back in. I have some other things to try, but I may go your route.

Yeah - I tried 1 spring with up to 6 turns and then two springs with 1/2, then 1 then 2....

turns and I still got the weird honking. I really like the Forge RS better - but YMMV!

alhtough when i first had the Greddy in...it was great. now, i can't dial it in at all...

and seems that a piston type is really what the DB chip requires.

yes, and fluttering. i took the greddy apart...diaphram looked good. held it up to the light for

any leaks, etc. no issues there. the piston DVs always worked better in my car for some reason. the GFB Stealth FX BOV worked pretty well with the BOV valve closed off all the way. held boost very well. but with the BOV opened up slightly, it fluttered like a butterfly.
