anyone know what's involved to convert to oem nav? is it possible?
i know i could do aftermarket, and the aftermarket systems are better, but frankly the aftermarket styling is a big turn-off for me.

have you played with the TT nav?
i have, and i'm an engineer.
i couldnt figure it out. even though it's out of the way, have you considered the garmin nuvi hidden in the ashtray idea?

you'd have to do some fabricating or just get a different overlay which allows double din in the TT
There is a place in UK that sells the plastic replacement for stock single din and I think its about 300 euros. There was a recent post about it. Get that and pickup the stock nav+ (appx $1,000) and you should have a very nice stock setup for under 2 grand. You might even be able to integrate it into the cluster. This would be my ideal choice and I would replace my carpc with it in a second. PLUS you get MP3 capability from the card reader behind the nav+ screen and interface to a DVD player.
