Default So my car is back from DEFCON 2 and Stoptech stg II install.. also 42dd dp cat section...
I have no impressions of the defcons or the stoptechs yet, as I picked the car up during rush-hour traffic and brought it directly home (less than 3 miles). I am going to take it out for a shakedown run in about 30 minutes when traffic will be minimal. I'm super stoked!
As for the cat section replacing the test pipe, well, the sound is noticeably different. It seems to have lost it's teeth, so to speak. Now don't get me wrong, it still sounds good, and much better than it did when I had the OEM downpipe, but it isn't quite the howling monster that it was with the test pipe in there. I need to be able to run it up to 6k to really get a feel for it, both in terms of performance and sound. I'll let you guys know what I think after I get done.

Default i'm interested in the 42DD cat section...
i'm thinking about putting mine in and taking the test 'fun' pipe out. how much did the sound get cut by? curious. alot? or a little?

I hope these pads aren't dusty. Anyone have Axxis ceramics?

Default I really can't say yet, as I haven't really driven it enough...
but I could hear a difference the second I started the car. Based on first impressions, I'm putting the test pipe back in ;-)

Default no particular reason...but i will have to put them in when the time comes for inspection.
that's another year and a half now....wanted to see what the difference in sound is. more for curiousity.
