Is this a common TT issue? >>>
The fan (radiator fan) stopped working yesterday afternoon on my 3.2 ... this caused the coolant to overflow from the tank on turning the ignition off (car was hot).
Turning the AC on did not turn the fan on either. I am thinking either the fan switch or the fan motor.
Dropped her off at the dealer last night, but am curious what the problem could be so I could help the dealer with the diagnosis.

Known fan issues with R32s . . .
Friend of mine with an R32 had to have his radiator fans replaced (under warranty, thankfully). Apparently, this is common with them (I believe it's failure of an internal resistor). Since I suspect 3.2s and R32s share fans, they no doubt share fan problems. I'm surprised we haven't heard of any so far. Check your fans for the latest production version (guess there was a running change)--a green dot on the outer part of the blade assembly. Good luck!

since I am still under 32K miles and warranty is valid until early 2008. Hopefully they will do it under warranty and not make any excuses; more importantly, I hope I can get her back this week.
I am still waiting for the coolant temp sensor issues ... I dont think I have a green sensor in there. Will probably tackle that myself ...

Not a problem at all and got 30.5 mpg on the entire trip >>>

Check fuse on battery cover
When my battery was going bad, my car (2001 TTQC) began to heat up quickly in stopped traffic. I could hear that the fans were not coming on. I pulled over and the car would not restart. After replacing the battery, and the blown fuse, all is well.
I am guessing that the plates may have shorted internally, causing the fuse to blow. No problems since.
