So while driving home from work yesterday, my car just decided to limp...
I had cruise control on, which is incredibly rare in itself, but shortly after I turned it on, I had a hill to go up so I figured I'd be lazy and just let the car accel up the hill. Midway up, the epc light came on and the engine just felt like it totally stopped working. Giving it more gas, car goes to 0 pounds of boost. Everything else worked... power steering and everything. I pulled over, restarted the car and it came back fine without hesitation and without any warning lights.
I've never had it before, but it sounds like limp mode? I blame cruise control, but why? I've had the same boost numbers since I got my chip 3 years ago, so I'd find it hard to believe I spiked to anything out of the ordinary.

almost sounds like a classic overboost...>>>
in a taller gear, the boost pressure and heat from the motor rise quicker.....
Do you have a boost machine? If so...you may need to turn it down a bit in the warmer weather....
