LZ7W sighting!
John rolled in monday afternoon and we hung out and reminisced about old TTW and TTE stories. Tuesday we spent the day cruising the backroads and visiting the area lakes and then dinner with my parents.
Weds was the best day. We drove out to Wichita wildlife refuge and spent the entire day blasting curvy roads, hiking/climbing the mountain, visiting with the local wildlife and enjoying great hamburgers at Meers.
Oklahoma sent him off with a bang late this morning with a nasty line of thunderstorms and lots of lightning. He's on his way into texas and across to new mexico for Roswell and Carlsbad Caverns so wave if you're in the area!
Here's some highlights:
At the top of Scott Mountain. It was fantastic because there was no traffic and hardly anyone else up there.

after lunch we spotted some buffalo and pulled over to take pictures

the locals REALLY loved John's car

We ended the day hiking out to a cliff that overlooks a hidden lake, enjoyed a full bloom of wildflowers etc.

A great time was had by all and no prairie dogs were harmed in the making of these photos.
Now I have to go back to work
