Can a faulty PCV valve cause boost issues?

Thanks Steve!
True on a 2001 225, maybe not on your car...
Also, there's a maze of plastic tubing, natural rubber elbows and a check valve under/around the intake. Two out of three of the natural rubber components and the check valve have split open on my engine. Each causing a boost (and possibly vacuum) leak. I epoxied the check valve and replace all the natural rubber with silicone. Others have replaced the complete assembly with new one. At or near 5 years or 100k miles? Boost or drivability issues? It's worth an inspection
p.s. Most of those lines where changed not long ago by Audi dealer. Thats when the noise started and its getting worse.
