Default It's Not on the pressurized side of the Turbo......(edit)

Though, like Russ said, there could be some bleed through. A pressurized crankcase usually blows oil into the intake through the hoses routed to the TIP though and if bad you'd have pretty significant oil consumption and oil in the IC's...

Default Gotcha. btw, I swapped stock DV for the HX and my boost is higher.

I'm now waiting for new o-rings for the valve even though my original ones still looks good to me, but then looks can be deceiving. Weird thing is that with the stock DV, car runs like a champ for the first few runs and then begins to produce less boost even though requested values remain the same. This will go on until I shut off the car and let it cool down for a while. I'm hoping its just my stock DV coping with extra heat and pressure. I'll rebuild the hyperboost before I bother you with any logs.

Thanks Steve!

Default Oh yeah! The PCV is a "one way" valve. It's sposed to slam shut when

boost is present in the intake manifold. If it doesn't, you've got a boost leak.

Default not to be contradictory, but the small nipple that comes out the bottom (edited)

of the intake manifold near the dip stick tube eventually connects to the PCV. When boost is "up", it hits the PCV. A leaker will leak boost!

True on a 2001 225, maybe not on your car...

Also, there's a maze of plastic tubing, natural rubber elbows and a check valve under/around the intake. Two out of three of the natural rubber components and the check valve have split open on my engine. Each causing a boost (and possibly vacuum) leak. I epoxied the check valve and replace all the natural rubber with silicone. Others have replaced the complete assembly with new one. At or near 5 years or 100k miles? Boost or drivability issues? It's worth an inspection

Default May not have anything to do with your DV....>

The ECU will dial things back as heat builds....

Default Thanks for the sugestion. The noise is driving me nutz so I'll replace the valve just for that

alone. I'll post back with improvements or lack there of.

p.s. Most of those lines where changed not long ago by Audi dealer. Thats when the noise started and its getting worse.
