almost thought this was a coilpack at first, and actually did get a brief flashing CEL for just a bit when it first started - then the CEL went off, and hasn't been back; almost like a MAF stutter, but not quite.

once after really humid wet weather (remnants of a hurricane as i recall)....
Car was idling after running at highway speeds for a bit then was sitting in traffic on the interstate (pouring ran as well)...pulled away and she stumbled hard...got a flashing CEL....went away moments later.
Conclusion...more than likely something got on the MAF wire (or it was failing) or the condensation built up on the inside of the ****...Never happened again....
VAG it if you can...you should see an error Will...

Started to happen with mine also, but no CEL, Then it started to honk, .....
found a defective diaphragm ordered a new one from Car Domain. Still in route, hope that corrects all my problems, Running OEM right now.
