Default Damn, After replacing my busted HID..im now having A LOT of electrical issues

my car started to show a lot of electrical issues. my right angel eye and the right tail light are not working. HID's & blinkers are fine, tho. When the technician checked the connection, he discovered and busted fuse... unfortunately, there's no extra fuse so he decided to wrapped/jumped it with few thread of wire. when he swtihed the light on, the angel eye lit for 1 second and died again. the guy gave up and couldn't figure out the problem. any suggestion... i suspect lose connection... need help.. thanks

Default You have a short somewhere >>>

Start by disconnecting all of the lights replace the fuse and see if it blows. If not, reconnect one thing at a time until it does.

Which fuse keeps blowing anyway?

Default Could be that your headlight is not sealed well and you are getting water inside.

I had a problem blowing fuses when my Angel eyes were installed and I think the problem was a headlight unit that had been apart 6-7 times was not sealing up well and allowing moisture to get to the angel eyes. I could find nothing else wrong with any of my wiring, which was all soldered and sealed. My problem seemed to only occur when it was damp or raining.

I have never reinstalled to verify this was the issue though.

Default Never replace a fuse with a direct connection...>>

Unless you want to do more damage and/or start a fire or fry an entire wiring harness. the fuse is alerting you to a problem....Something hooked up to that circuit. From your description i would look closely at the angel eye wiring. Sometimes those transformers can short internally. Take that whole thing out of the system, replace the fuse and go from there..

Default Thank Steve, the technician finally figured out the problem..

you are right... as he mentioned to me, the angel eye's transformer has the problem. no shop wants to fix it. so i told the guy to just disconnect the other functioning angel eye and wait until i ordered the new set. would there be any problem leaving a disconnected angel eyes in the system?

Default After having two of those tranformers fail, I am pretty concerned there is some sort

of short between it and the angel eye. Could be moisture in the headlight

Default Guess you are right too...

during the installation of my lsd, i ordered the body shop to re-open the headlight housing and clean it cuz when they installed my angel eyes almost a year ago, it was a mess... they didn't clean the glass from the insde and it's full of finger prints. damn... i never thought that this decision would give me more problems....

Default the fuse connecting the angel eye blew up.

i cant DIY my car.. im ignorant in cars, tho. i just let local technicians who want to try fixing my car. i just told the guy to try checking the connections and fuses one by one but he refuses.. he said, it's too complicated. so his temporary solution is to just kill the angel eyes... what a jerk!
