Thanks everyone for your help. New Poll: 17's or 18's? >>

Looking at overall ownership qualities rather than just looks.

Bonus question: Is there any problem with having the stock (presumably 17") spare when running with 18s?

Correctly sized 18's...>

will be the same rolling diameter as the spare so no issues there. Softer, smoother ride on 17's + a bit more Pothole protection. Better handling and looks with 18's....

Go 18's, I regret getting 17's

I regret not going to 18's since the price difference is not that great over 17's. I however, have a very smooth and good ride on my 17's. Its just the 18's look so right on the TT.

17's ONLY! If you live in a major city with POTHOLES!!

I live in the DC area and these streets to me require 17's. I would not go to any other rim size. I have seen too many flats and bent rims on friends cars that have those type of rims.
