hot off the tig welder....
its dirty, kind of messed up the polishing, nothign that cant be fixed!...... but at least its done and i can move on w/ geting my motor buttioned up so ica n fire it up and make the treck up to ashland soon...... other one off parts still needing compleation befor i can drive my pos..... but at least this is one i dont have to work on any more! not bad for 150buks(i dont count the 2 manifolds i allready owned and got for basicly free), and a few beers. my buddy welded it up for me. he is FAA certified and was nice enough to stay after wrok today and do this for me.

oh and for thoughs reading from home w/ no idea what i did.... heres a run donw.
take a 225 intakemanifold and chop it off right were the runners attach to the plenum.
take a passat AEB intake manifold and chopp it off about 1" away from where the runners attach to the plenum.
next grind/cut/slash/hammer/chew/tease on the the left over 225 manfiold plenum and the passat runners till the 2 fit together nciely. no more than a 1/16" gap at most!
now media balst the 2 clean, bolt to spare cylinder head, and fire up one stout tig welder and melt the 2 pieces into 1.
once finished bolt to your TT and have a high flwo manifold that didnt break the bank.
for added flare have a nice message etched into the top of your manfiold if you like..
funny thing is i got the dip stikc to fit 1/ out doing mroe than about 30secoonds of head scratching. and i also managed to find a spare hose laying around the shop that is some how 100% the correct angle to fit the throtel body in its new location.
this had to be one of the most pain free mod's iv done that will actuly make some real over all power gains.
next up a larger TB..... but thats after i get the car all dialed in.
