outside air temp sensor not reacting properly

it will eventually change, but it took it like 10 minutes to go from 68 to 74. it's 90 out...

bad sensor, i hope this isn't cluster related

My new Tundra did that yesterday . today it's fine . Sunspots??? :-)

Evaporative cooling can do that. The sensor of course is located under the radiator in the air stream, so you could have a minor leak of coolant at play also.

no rain, but i'll check on the coolant leak. just flushed the system

Both my TT and allroad did this last week...very slow to adjust to outside temp....

On a straight stretch of road I shut off the TT, very quickly removed and reinserted the key, then restarted the car (sure, I could have pulled over and stopped, but I'm lazy and act stupid at times. After the restart the car immediately read correct. I'll check later to see if it's still doing it, but I don't think so. Maybe some particular temperature condition? I don't know.
