"How to" for installing the Haldex Controller
Hey Folks,
I just got a new orange Haldex and have been searching around and can't find a good description of the whole installation. Some of the picture collections mention one, but it doesn't seem to show up in my searches. Could one of you point me to it?
Once I've got it all together, I'll post a review.

The instructions on the kit are pretty good, that's all I needed. One key thing...
Find someone with small hands to do it for you, cripes is it ever a tight fit in there.
The toughest part of the whole ordeal is removing and tightening the upper allen screw.

Sometimes they'll fall into place, sometimes you can spend literally HOURs trying to get the bolts lined up (unable to see them and working with only one hand). The first time I did this was well before the controllers were on the market, and the Rubber band trick was not known...

I did mine...
following mcphill's picture album except a few minor details:
1. I used a "L" shaped Allen wrench
2. since my hands are not huge. I was able to put the bolts in place after the controller was briefly aligned.
3. the bolt on the right side (when you look at the controller from the normal direction there is one on top and one one the right side) went in easier so I put in this one first so it could briefly hold the controller in place. The other bolt was trickier but still not too difficult.

A couple questions....
Hey folks,
Can someone who is familiar with Mike's instructions give me a couple hints?
In picture 19 (and elsewhere) he shows some white goop, which I suspect is to hold things together temporarily. What is that goop?
In pictures 12 - 14 (and also in Steve's version) there is a cover being lowered, but I can't figure out why. What does that give you access to?
It looks like both Steve and Mike removed the muffler (or had already done so). Is that required to do this? A convenience? Or irrelevant?
