A vacuum question + autoX
When idle the boost gage shows ~18 inHg, but when the car is cruising with no throttle input the gage shows 22 inHg of vacuum... So why is it when the car is going faster the vacuum is higher (lower pressure in the manifold)? Is it just the vacuum pump is driven by the engine and is pumping faster at higher rpm?

Went to the GASS, Great American Solo Series, at Rantoul yesterday and it was fun and nice seeing all sorts of really fast cars! This one here was the fastest of the day.
