Should I get a 3" to 2.75" adapter to directly connect the 42DD downpipe to Blueflame exhaust? TIA!!

42DD can make me a 3" to 2.75" adapter with a flange that directly bolts to the downpipe, and I can weld the other end to the Blueflame. Is this a good idea? TIA!

great idea, or get a 2.75 clamp, better idea, for adjustability

Yes - that's what a number of us are doing

mine will go into a local shop to have the same thing done.

How long of an adapter should I get?

I will probably be cutting off the section of the Blueflame which slides over the stock section of exhaust, so approximately how much distance will there be between the downpipe and the Blueflame? Will 12" be enough? TIA!
