Tire Problem, need help
I park in a valet grage when i bring my TT to work. Today the driver waited too long to drive up the ramp and the gate was closing, it almost closed on my car but he stopped in time but rolled back over those unidirectional spikes which blew out one of my front tires. They will surely pay for one, but I know I will at least need 2 and maybe 4 as my car is Quattro (per the guy from NTB).
Is there any literature in the manual or elsewhere that says you need to replace both front or all 4 tires if they are past a certain amount of wear to avoid transmission problems? Any other arguments you guys can suggest to get these bozos to pay for more than 1 tire? I know I will be in for a fight in relation to proving the need for more than 1 tire.

Rears are no problem...
because of wear.
Think about it - full tread depth on a new tire is about 1/3 inch. You can have more of a difference in roll radius due to tire pressure than due to 100% tire wear.
