34k miles...too soon to do timing belt/water pump?
i was thinking i might as well get it out of the way and get quality stuff instead of waiting till 60k and doing it. what say you?
Having said that, I think most failures are actually due to the pneumatic tensioner losing pressure and letting the belt skip. Such a failure may be expected to be more time than mileage related.
I'd have it replaced, since it would be mostly parts costs.

AK_TTuner : for the price of the belt and the water pump, you might as well do it while everything is uncovered. It's the labor charge that bumps everything up. ;-)
