Cold start issue solved?
I thought it was the original battery in my 2001, but after replacing it, I got a coolant temp sensor error (and continued cold start issues). Replaced the sensor today, and it seems to have cured my problem.
Kicker is that the archives state a $4 price for the sensor. ECS has it listed for $22, and I paid $33 at a VW dealer. Total BS on pricing - the dealer had stacks of them, and didn't need a part number (he had a big stash one step from the register). I bet they make more money on these sensors than on some car sales! That said, I had a "good" OEM one, as it was the original black top in my car with over 50 k on it...
