Crunching window...

So, when I roll down the driver's side window, it makes a crunching noise. Sometimes when I roll it back up, it goes up 3/4, then drops back down to 1/2. I have to continually flick it to get it to go all the way up.

I guess I will have to take the door panel off and see what is going on. Any Ideas??? Thanks!

Mine was binding on the weatherstrip...

... since it had worked it's way loose inside. Does it do it with the door open?

Pretty easy fix after you get the door panel off.

mine tends to do a less intense version in hot weather... binding weatherstrip I figure... >

try dousing the weatherstrips with silicone spray before taking the door panel off if you feel lucky.

Yup, does it with the door open too. I guess I'll just have to pull the panel. Ugg.
