Default DTC codes i'm trying to hunt down and fix. i'd love ideas on how!

i just pulled the DTCs from my car after an alignment and brake job to make sure everything seems fine. here are my results. the ABS and the Engine codes are what is troubling me the most. the O2 sensors are brand new, as well as the spark plugs and coil packs. the spark plugs were also gapped appropriately too. 0.8 if i remember, but i might have to double check. as for the steering angle sensor, it wasn't broken last night when i pulled codes, only today after an alignment so i'm curious as to how that could happen. the other DTC under abs makes no sense to me, sensor 1/2 of brake pressure? if anyone could shed light on this stuff i'd be very thankful.

Default on the plugs>>>

they should be gapped at .28...not sure if that was a typo or not....so check that....

What type of plugs did you use?

On the ABS sensor error...not sure, you may want to clear it and see if returns. Could be just an electrical gremlin....

Default on the misfires, I've seen this as a result of a bad MAF... >

do a full throttle run in 2nd or 3rd gear and watch block 002, the 4th value I think. It measures air mass in g/sec and should peak about .8 x HP(180 or 225 depending on what you drive). If it's significantly lower than that, the MAF is prob'ly sending bad data to the ECU which is therefore sending goofy fuel demands to the injectors, therefore intermittent misfires.

Default My son's Jetta 2.0L had same codes. Replaced MAF, plugs, wires, air filter and O2 sensors.

Still had same damn codes. Then replaced catalytic convertor with a Magnaflow. Codes all cleared and stayed clear.
Good luck.

Default my $.02 >>

- the coils or plugs are no good. new or not.

- the 16804 cat code is pretty typical with hi-flow cats. means the o2 sensors aren't warming up as fast as your exhaust is. no big deal. is your ecu reprogrammed? if so - see if the company has an update for the cat code. i got one from apr.

- your G85 part (steering angle sensor) might be shot. did you pull the steering wheel lately?
