turbo problems?

turbo problems?
my check engine light is steady on. audi diagnosed it to be the diverter valve. its aftermarket and they blamed it on that. now the problem is when i accelerate hard i get lags in acceleration that never happened before any suggestions?

What DV? What maintenance have you done? Have you verified it's in working order?
If it's a diaphram style the diaphram could be torn. If it's a piston style then it could need cleaned and lubed. OEM DV's are fairly cheap, could throw one on and see if the issue is better, then if so the dealer should be able to look into something else.
