Well the tear down has started...

overall things are looking good considering.
Turbo is actually in great shape...no shaft play or wobble at all...(probably due to it hardly being used thanks to it bearly being attached to the motor)
Busted coolant return hose...plenty of broken studs and bolts...But I can see things going back together far better than before...
Damn... stripping the turbo out was a pain in the ****...But my mechanic/tech knows I am keen to get this project rolling (he let me go at it myself while he worked on other cars...yeah was a slow day today =D )

I see me switching to Koni coilovers thanks to having replace em anyway due to a dead Bilstein on the drivers front corner...Will trow in the neuspeed front sway while the sub fram is down too.

I wish there was a Polybush master kit available at a reasonable price ($250-300) tochange out all the decayed rubber...doing it piecemeal costs a fortune

Soon as new goodies come in I'll post pics for those interested.

switching to konis?

i've been thinking about switching to pss9s (currently have koni coilovers)...is your car still in NC?

Aren't Bilstein guaranteed for life?

if you switch - go KW V2 or V3 over Koni.

no...back in fla with me!

I dont know if the billies are lifetime...needless to say the downtime alone will keep the Roach off the road, and thats not part of my plans right now.

They are...

but according to Billies site an Oil covered shock requires no attention...WTF in my world that means a seal has blown and theres no oil to actually damp anymore...
I'll try my luck with Bilstien on monday...but I dont want too much downtime in all honesty.
