Revving after pedal release?

Revving after pedal release?
I've noticed after i let off throttle and push in clutch... the engine will rev up a little before losing rpms. I thought maybe my foot was staying on the throttle accidentaly, but it's not the case. Does anyone know what would cause the engine to continue to rise after i let off the throttle and push in the clutch? I've never done this in any other manual car.

drive by wire funkiness?
I had it happen a few times after cold starts - i did not address the problem....I just did a <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1500586.phtml"> throttle adaptation</a>. See if that works for you.
