about to change the brake pads on my Wilwood...same as OEM? take caliper off and retract
the piston?
i have the bridge bolt type...and typically, i can take the bridge bold off to have access to the pads itself...which i put brake quiet on after the fact...but never did a complete brake pad replacement.
question is, do i take the calipers off like i would the OEM calipers and retract the piston (obviously) to put the new pads in? TIA

Mine just had a retainer pin...>>
Once removed, the pads would just slide out of the assembly. No un-bolting required..YOu can retract the pistons by levering them against the rotor using a large screwdriver.
Dunno if yours are different. These were the styled Dynalites..

that easy? not like the OEM piston where you have to rotate the piston to retract...
i can do that very easily. mine slide right in...well, when i put brake quiet on.
didn't think that they would retract that easily back in. mine are superlights. similar, but not the same caliper housing. thx!

Yes, but they can be pressed w/o too much trouble >
I guess it could be a pain if the pads are really worn; I just 'canted' the pads slightly and used their backing plate to grab the edge of the piston and press them back into the caliper as I worked the pad in.
