Turbo Noise

I have a 2001 225 MK1. When accelerating at around 4-5k RPMs the normal turbo noise becomes louder and screeching, and continues until I let off. I have just replaced the turbo and the DV, could someone help me ID this problem?

Why did you replace the turbo? How many miles on the car?

Turbo was shot, 77,500 miles on the car.

Its stock except for a Forge DV

or you were just unlucky. Turbo failures are pretty rare..

Anything that was taken apart on the pressure side for the turbo install....>

Check the Turbo to Charge pipe Silicone connector for a start...You can get to that from the top..

I am just curious because I had my car flashed and about a week later had my 42dd dp installed with test pipe. Soon after I started to realize that at certain rpm's(3,500 - 5,000) I could hear a similar turbo sound. It was really not screeching but was almost like a rattle. The car also sounded a lot louder and I realized I had a boost leak(in picture)and fixed that hose. The car feels like it is holding boost but the turbo noise is still there(rattling). I also am having some slight hesitation on acceleration(I am guessing maf). So just curious if this could possibly be revo related....thanks for the help
btw the car seems to be running fine(minus slight hesitation sometimes so i don't think the turbo is going fwiw)
