Any of you TT owners Jeep guys also?

We have to get rid of my wife's leased 2005.5 A4. She has already hit her mileage limit and still 15mos on lease term.

We are getting a 2nd dog in 2 weeks so we're thinking of upsizing to a midsized SUV. Looking into BMW ML350, Benz X3, and just recently the Jeep Compass.

Anyone have a Jeep Compass or heard good/bad things?

And that's a pretty universal opinion from Most of the Enthusiast press.. A totally forgettable and cheaply made vehicle. Basically a Caliper with a "jeep" body.. It's the old "you get what you pay for" axiom. You can do better in this class. I have a new Wrangler which I like a lot, but that's a REAL Jeep...

My mom is in that situation, how are you going to get out of the lease?

Where else do you think we should spend time looking?

Obviously luxury is nice hence the BMW and BENZ.. but we really dont need to spend all the money now while starting a family.

He can take it back to the dealership and negotiate a new lease or purchase...

They'll usually let you out of your lease if you go back and sign for another purchase from the same place.

2 Options: >

1. There is a lease buy out figure inside every monthly lease statement. Just pay it off and use car as a trade-in for next vehicle.

2. Take car to a dealer and see what they will pay vs what you owe on lease.

Either way we owe about $3-5k in the end.

Yeah.

came from a Wrangler to the TT. I wouldn't consider the compass an option, especially with those other cars.

Have you considered the Forester XT? Should be able to keep up with anything in your list off road and outrun them on the road. Have had a lot of fun in that car and am constantly impressed with what it will do.
