Repost from below, but this forum doesn't have a good way of keeping a topic alive for people to see.
I have a burnt oil smell in the car at idle that goes away when the car's moving. I checked the charge pipe on the pass side and there was a small puddle of oil. Would this cause the smell? How do I clean it out easily?

and it is normal for the TT, especially if you have a chipped car.
Oil smell could be coming from the PCV valve, an accidental spill that gets agitated from time to time, or your cam seals. All of which are fixable.
If you notice the smell after not running the AC for a while, that has been around for quite a while, and to the best of my knowledge, there is no fix....but someone else may chime in on that...
On the forum...check the radial box in your preferences for tracking threads....it will keep the thread alive for you....

You need to get under the car..>>
And pull the lower cover off. You may have a leak off the backside of the Valve cover (or in that area) that's dripping down the hot side of the engine. Probably won't be able to see this from the top.

Could be turbo bearing seal?
When under a vacuum condition the oil pressure could relieve into the charge pipe. Under boost the oil stays in the bearing cavity. Also could be a clogged turbo oil return line. Oil consuption could be as much as 1 qt./1000 miles.

look in the area along side the intake runner on the right or just to its left. If it is covered in a gookie oily mess....it is probably the valve gone bad. It is not easy to get too...
