Default Spacers/alignments/I'm an idiot/please help/...again

I ordered tires AGAIN today.

Last night I ordered some Kumho tires for really cheap but I somehow put that 3 digit code on the back of my debit card in wrong, andddd they canceled it. I'm glad because I bought better ones.

With that said. I need an alignment, my car ATE my Eagle F1's on the front BAD. The inside 1/4th of the tire looks like a slick, the back tires aren't too shabby.

2 questions.

1) Will spacers make my tires wear abnormally like this. I have 25mm on the back and 15 on the front.

2) I live in Kansas City, which probably doesn't help my cause since most of you live no where near me... but where should I get my car aligned at? Is there a national chain that does a pretty good job?

1- No
2- Never liked "National Chains"....two reasons....they are not always wheel friendly, and not all use good glue weights....Find a good tuner shop locally...a good alignment should run you between 140$ to 250$..you may find cheaper...but you get what you pay for.

Default Your $240 alignment is 4wheel right?

The reason I ask is that I need to replace d/s ball joint and will need an alignment after that. I dont want to pay for a $240 alignment after replacing a $50 part. Maybe I could just do a front end alignment (I own a FWD TT.)

Or I can wait until I do suspension and just fork over the cash then.

Default If you have quattro you may want to take it to a dealership.

I've heard that a quattro has to be aligned in a particular order (back to front?) and most alignment shops are not familiar with the quattro system.

Perhaps someone else can chime in to either confirm or negate this.

Default And With an FWD...>>

Tweeking the rear must be done with shims. It's a bit more involved and probably beyond the average alignment shops capabilities. It's basically "Fixed" from the factory and will not vary from that setting unless you've got accident damage...

Default this should not be an issue for a good tuner.....>>

Makes no difference...It's a beam axle and settings don't change when lowered.
