Default Help removing inside panels. '01 TT Coupe.

Hello all. I have an 01 225 TT Coupe. I want to remove the rear seats and panels to add some insulation. I am having trouble removing all the back side panels. If any of you have any diagrams, I would really appreciate it. I am looking to order the CD for maintenance from eBay. What do you guys think? Any input will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Default If I recall little metal clips hold it in...

I believe I used a dash fork to pop the panels off.

Default And some more...clips are behind black tape...

Wherever you see black tape, a spring clip is behind it...

I mark them this way so I know where to hit the panel with the heel of my hand when I re-install the panels.

Default Did you use any special tools?

I tried today to remove the lower part of the back(trunk) panel, and the clip unglued from the panel, and stayed in the metal...Kind of pissed, as I don't want to have to buy new panels.

Default No special tools other than patience and care--more pics...

Wear mechanics gloves (i.e., protect your hands) and slowly work your hand(s) under the panel and pop them one at a time.

The clips routinely come out of the panels and stay in the metal holes. Don't worry, grab some pliers and pull the clips out of the holes. When out of the holes, the clips look like this...

Then, simply slide the clips back into the plastic slots on the panels, and you'll be good to go.

Pictures aren't great, but should show the concept.

I actually bought a dozen of just the spring clips b/c when I pull the panels they bend and ping some place where I can't find them, so I go to my stash and slide new ones into the plastic slots.
