Need some help. I have desided to repaint my alms wheels because they in terrible shape and...
I was wondering if there is anyway that I can get paint that is as strong as wheel or engine paint but is the original color of the wheels?
My friend is familiar with fixing wheels but he says that I wont be able to get that same color is that right?
Regardless, this is the plan. Use paint striper to get the paint off and then add a little bit of metal to where it needs it on one of the wheels, then sand it, primer and then paint and clear coat. Does that sound about right?

did a diy project like that not too long ago....that is a lot of work...
doable but requires a lot of time and patience.
I suggest you get the supplies in the write-up StillJester posted and practice first with some cheap paint and a junk wheel. (Any wheel shop will have a pile of trashed wheels).
I did it and started over 3 times because I wasn't pleased with the result. I was using duplicolor.
You can also go to <A href="http://wwww.paintscratch.com">paintscratch.com</A> to get paint in a spray can that will match exactly to the color you want.
