Front suspension creak on driver side? beside fr. sway bar bushings, where to look 1st?....>
I drove my car this afternoon and I have a really bad creak coming from my driver's side front suspension. I notice it most when I'm stopping/starting or driving slow on uneven roads. The creak is transmitted through the floor boards and pedals on the driver side.
I already know my front sway bar bushings are cracked, they only creak over a few dips on my street. I'm not too concerned about them.
I had the bilstein/eibach setup installed ~10 months ago. I also did the strut bearings and bushings at the time.
Any clue where I should start looking? end links maybe? sway bar mount???

So I should go home drop the subframe and replace the sway bar bushings???
I have a feeling that wouldn't fix the problem. I was hoping to avoid a dozen replies that say your sway bar bushings are cracked, I know. This is a NEW noise that started TODAY, I'm trying to find what ELSE is causing the creaking. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear. Simply restating what I already know is no help.

I replaced my swaybar down links last weekend...>>
I was getting knocking sounds when going slow and over uneven roads.

??...You don't need to drop the subframe...>
Order the Powerflex 20mm poly bushings and...>
1) Remove the bushing brackets
2) remove the old rubber bushings
3) Chip off the cracked, squeaking plastic bush
4) Lube and install new bushings
5) bolt brackets back on..
If you have no interest in fixing the problem you already have and is most likely causing the problem, then I can offer no more help. Go throw some parts at it. Good luck..I'm outta this one.

Why not fix the problem you know exists and see if that does it???
A cheap and fast check would be to spray them down with lubricant. <<<I wouldn't recommend this if you're not changing them out soon>>>

Funny thing, it didn't make any noise on the way home today...>
Really strange, driving home the thing didn't make a creak! Must have something to do with the heat and humidity in Boston today?? I know my H&R rear sway bushings act up when its hot out (yes, the ones that aren't supposed to squeek). The car sounded like **** this afternoon, you could feel the creak transmit right through the floor. I'll have to look into it when I do the front sway and defcons
