Default New PCV hoses, new O2 sensor, new plugs, new MAF and looks like my car is healthy again

Can't believe how much torque I had given up with the boost leaks. Got those fixed and had a post-car O2 sensor fault and a lean code. Installed new O2 sensor and the lean code came back. Put in my spare MAF and have about 90 miles on it including some spirited driving this evening and all seems ok. Have a hint of timing pull sometimes when the turbo starts to spool, need to keep an eye on that.

Also, had Falken Azenis RT615s installed last week, these things are just unbelievably good, so much better than the T1Rs that came off. They seem to be in the same class as the S03s I ran, very sticky and great steering response. Certainly firmer than the T1Rs or F1 GSD3s but I'm really liking them. Still have to see what they're like in the rain.

Default oops!! ahem...

Checked VAG again tonight and still had a lean code so decided to check the connections to the bottom of the intake manifold. Don't know why I decided to start there but it was a good intuition. There are two vac connections on the left end of the manifold, one of which runs to the FPR.

Looks like I mangled this while persuading the new PCV plumbing back into place. Fixed it and went for a spin and it's making even more power, especially top end of higher gears, and the minor stumble I had seems to be gone. Only did 30 miles or so but no lean fault, hopefully this is the last one.

Default you should replace that anyways...although it may look okay, the rubber is usually dried out

and cracked. if you're over 4 years on the TT...its a definite. in fact, i would replace all cloth covered rubber hoses.

Default Amen, that hose is good for 5 years max.

Silicone is a good replacement and I also seem to recall that VW is using a new material for those hoses that has thicker wall that the older fabric civered hose.
