rattle noise coming from engine
whe nthecar warms up. i hear a rattle towards the back and underneath the engine. where the turbo is. the rattle happens when i rev the engine from a dead stop or moving in first, after i go to second i dont hear it. it sounds like two cans rattling together. like theres some metal piece loose.
could it be the turbo? or what could it be?
i would really appreciate the help.

Have you looked at the dogbone?
W/O load, and if deteriorated, it may 'rattle'. Under load it should pop if loose.
Hard to tell w/o actually hearing your case. Turbo would rattle consistently, as opposed to just 1st gear.

<center><img src="http://www.katokmagic.com/katokmagicMASCOT.gif"></center><p>like this guy but....... w/ out someone poking around in there, its hard to say tooo many parts in that area that coudl make that type of sound. if i guessed id say check the heat shelds, iv seen them come lose under the car and rattel, also the heat shelds accross the back of the motor could be hitting something (no idea why but it could be)..... maybe a loose down pipe connecton that comes loose when its hot?......
