Recommend Bentley Book or CD?
I would like to have a repair guide for my TT and I'm going to either buy the book or the CD, any recommendations based on having owned 1 or the other?
I'm used to having books, and am thinking having a cd would just lead me to print out dozens of sheets of paper..

I have CD and would like to have the book...
yes, you can search the CD and hotlinks are nice, but I still end up printing out a lot of stuff. In the end, it probably does not make much difference, so maybe price and availability are the driving factors.

The CD is a bit of a PITA...>>
But it does allow searches which can sometimes take you right to the issue..
You can also get lost in there easily and search forever for what could be easily paged to in the book..Coin toss.

The book is nice to page through looking for things and you can keep fingers in 2 sections at once. But it can be hard to find what you're looking for if you don't know where it is beforehand.
The CD lets you search, and search is both a <b>wonderful</b> and <b>terrible</b> thing. It <u>can</u> help find things that are almost impossible to find in the book, but it's often a PITA to sort through all the hits looking for the application that matches your car. A nice feature is that you can print out the procedure you're going to do and take it out to the garage, so your computer doesn't get greasy. Or you can install it on 2 platforms (eg, a desktop in the house and a laptop you carry out to the garage). And finally the hyperlinks are great, where you want to see where a particular part or sensor is located.

FYI.....The CD...>
Has an elaborate copy protection scheme that will require you and the seller to confirm the transfer with Bentley. A computer crash is a real PITA, but they get you back and running with a phone call...If that makes any difference..(Also if running Vista, the Current version will not work)

the book is super rad im sure but, i found the cd has some ultra skills if your doing wirieing!...
u can click on most the important parts name's off the cd (well the camra next to the name) and get a real photo of what your looking at on the diagram!... really nice when your trying to figure stuff out.
