I'm sure you'd pass the sniff test too, even with just a test pipe.
A properly running car (and yours seems to be fine, from what I could tell! :-D) shouldn't really need a cat to pass the sniff test... especially an ULEV car like our TTs.

No problems at all. Course, your car and mine are set up slightly differently. It's funny...years ago I used to work next to a garage when I had the Mustang. It came stock with FOUR cats, but I had straight pipes for it. It's an automatic fail without cats, but the garage tested it for me one time and the numbers were perfect! Odd...
