Default maintenance advice needed

Wife's TT (2001 quattro coupe) has not been to dealer since 40K miles. Currently has 75K on it. What maint do I need to do?

Seems like I'm overdue for a timing belt per the new standards. Do I need waterpump and any other items at same time? What should that cost.

Anything else?

Thanks for your help. I'm pretty out of touch on the TT, so you guys who live and breath them should be a great help to me.

Default Don't wait...

A timing belt serivce is urgent in your case...the belt, tensioner, and water pump are always done simultaneously. If any of these fail, you have a 2-4 thousand dollar repair to face. Most reported failures have happened in the 55 to 90 thousand mile range. I just had mine done last month for 1100 dollars at Audi dealer...independents charge about 200 to 300 less.

Default No maintenance at all in the past 35K miles? Start by checking tire pressure.

Oil and filter change next, timing belt very soon after. Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years, regardless of miles.

Spark plugs should be done every 40K miles, so that is coming up.

OK, first thanks to everyone for the responses. Looks like timing belt, tensioner and waterpump are due. plugs shortly there after (last done at 40K).

To answer some of the other questions: I may have mislead in my post. It's not that we have not been maintaining (brakes, oil changes, etc.) have all been done. I've just been wondering about the items that don't make themselves known until total failure - like the timing belt. So thanks. And to answer the tire question, we switched to all season (Pzero Nero) so we do get some pretty long life from them (although I think the conti extreme contact all seasons were a better all around tire).
