Got a random Check engine light while driving home

Car still seemed to have power, i checked the Ac to see if any codes came up there but it still read 0.0

i was going to change my oil today, thats actually what i was just coming back from getting. could low oil throw a cel?

really need to get it scanned, it popped for a reason.

does anyone have a VAG tool or scanner near the fairfax va area? please?

My guess is it's not the oil...

CELs are usually emissions related. Could be a number of things.

You can get it read for free with an OBDII reader at Autozone IIRC.

Not as versatile or comprehensive as a VAG I suppose, but it will tell you the codes the car is throwing.

I got it read as i was leaving richmond at autozone

P1539

Manf contrl veh speed
Idle speed control
Aux inputs

He reset the light for me, and even after about 200 miles it hasnt come back yet.

So what do i need to do now?
